Janée Williams is a storyteller, strategist, and an advocate for collective liberation. As  the Communications Associate with the Southern Movement Committee, she amplifies the voices of youth organizers and communities shaping the south.

As a proud Spelman College Alumna, and former Miss Black Georgia USA 2022, Janée brings a background in political communications and community engagement into her work. Her approach is storytelling rooted in truth-telling, cultural power, and the belief that words and visuals can be used as tools for organizing. She is passionate about creating narratives that honor Black history and the South's legacy of resistance to imagine what’s possible when we move together.

Beyond her professional work, Janée enjoys music, cinematography, and advocating for mental wellness amongst Black girls and women. Her work continues to bridge creativity, activism, and strategy to move people towards justice and lasting transformation.
